Pylon: the headline makes one promise and the proof makes another
usepylon.com · Live page re-read 29 August 2026. The copy quoted below is on the page today.
What the page leads with
The Agentic Support Platformusepylon.com, eyebrow line above the headline. Read live 26 August 2026 and again 29 August 2026.
Support at Lightspeedusepylon.com, headline, the largest type on the page. Read live 26 August 2026 and again 29 August 2026.
That is a speed promise. It says how fast a customer's problem gets solved. It is a real bet, and the customer list underneath it (Cognition, Linear, Airtable, Together AI, Baseten, LangChain) says the bet is working.
What I found
Pylon's AI agents handle the repetitive work that used to consume my day, so I can spend more time on the work that actually needs me.Mike Sholkov, Head of Support Engineering at Cognition. usepylon.com, the page's single customer quote. Read live 26 August 2026 and again 29 August 2026.
That is a workload promise. It says how a support engineer spends his day. A testimonial is the most deliberate content on any homepage: someone chose that sentence and cleared permission to use it. So the page carries two decisions about what Pylon is for, and it never says which one wins.
The diagnosis
Decision Decay
You made a clear bet at the top of the page. The proof you chose to run underneath it was picked for a different bet. Both are true. They are two promises, and the page asks the reader to pick.
Why it matters
A buyer reads down and gets two value stories. Speed sells urgency to an exec buyer. Relief sells to a support leader. Those are different budgets and different deal shapes. Each rep picks one framing per call, so the same account hears two versions of Pylon. The cost shows up as uneven deal shape and slower conversion, never as a lost lead anyone can point to.
